Renee Judy, Principal
Greetings! I am proud to be part of the educational team at North Daviess since 2003 which is the year I began teaching first grade at NDE before moving on as assistant principal in 2006. As a 1987 North Daviess graduate, I began my teaching career at Vincennes Catholic Schools where I taught grades 1 and 3 for three years before moving on to North Knox School Corp where I taught grades 1 and 4 for five years.
My career training includes graduating in 1995 from Indiana State University where I received a BA in Elementary Education. I later attended Indiana Wesleyan University's Masters in Education program where I received my M.Ed. in 2000. Also in 2000, I received my certification in Reading Recovery. I returned to IWU and attended the Pricipal Licensure Program receiving my K-12 Building Level Certification in 2006. In 2010, I received licensure in K-12 High Ability Education from Manchester College. I continue to attend professional development workshops to keep up with the ever changing dynamics of education especially topics in teacher evaluation, high ability education, student discipline, and attendance.
On a personal note, I enjoy genealogy (are we related?) and traveling. My husband, Ivan, and I have raised two children, my daughter, Audrey, who is a Biomedical Engineer in Noblesville, and our son, Evan, who is a senior at Indiana State University studying Aviation. I also have three adult step-children: Chad, Megan, and Tyler.
