North Daviess Jr/Sr HS is implementing a new security program for our students. Socialnetwatcher.com will monitor the most popular social networking site, Facebook. This program does not read the student’s Facebook pages, it scans the Facebook pages for violent or bullying statements, phrases, or words. If the application detects a threat to students at North Daviess an alert is sent to the school administration for review.
Please feel free to view this program on the website listed above. The students attended a presentation and receive detailed information Thursday, February 28th. This program will help us to be proactive in our school safety and security. We look forward to taking actions that are preventative, and will protect our students from bullying threats and potential violence before it happens. This is a voluntary program. There is a phone number listed on the website if you have questions or concerns about this program.

NORTH DAVIESS ELEMENTARY KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP FOR 2014-2015 CLASSES
North Daviess Elementary kindergarten round-up for the 2014-2015 kindergarten classes was held the week of February 24; however, if you have a child that is eligible (at least 5 years old before Aug. 1) and
you did not participate in Kg roundup, please contact NDE for a registration appointment at 636-8000 x 2000.
During your child’s registration appointment, your child will participate in a 30-45 minute screening. He/she will work with our staff reviewing basic readiness skills during this time. This screening gives us a baseline score that will be used to monitor student progress throughout the year.
Please be sure to bring the child, the child’s immunization record, and the child’s birth certificate. Indiana Law requires children entering school to have the following immunizations: two doses of Hepatitis A vaccine (Hep A), five D.P.T, four polio, two doses of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), three doses of hepatitis B vaccine, and two doses of the Varicella vaccine (or physician-written documentation of chicken pox history including month and year of disease).
